ON - The Premier YD Course Online 2026/Guelph
The Premier YD Course ONLINE is an MTO approved, beginner driver education course aimed at helping anxious drivers get extra practice behind the wheel. It includes 5-90 minutes (7.5 hours) of extra driving practice so that they can learn the required skills at their own pace. We teach them how to pass their driver's test and stay safe on the roads for a lifetime. This driving program featuring our Collisionfree! Approach is intuitive, with interactive theory that can be completed anytime/anywhere.This program has four components:
1) Theory learning (minimum 30 hours)
2) In-car lessons (10.5 hours)3) Extra practice lessons (7.5 hours)4) Road test package (3 hours)*
The private one-on-one in-car lessons are provided by highly-trained, provincially approved and annually re-certified instructors. Pick-up and drop-off for in-car sessions is within Fergus only.
Students can start the online portion of this course upon registration; a G1 is not required to begin. The online learning modules are designed to help new drivers think like experienced drivers able to identify the problems and solutions needed to avoid each type of crash. It's a way of thinking, presented through animations, text, images and videos that will become habitual over the course of this program.
*DriveTest collects the fee for your first G2 Road Test ($53.75) when you get your G1 beginner's licence. So this fee is not included in our package. What is included in our G2 road test package is a warm-up lesson on your test day to help prepare you for the test. Your instructor will take you for your test, you will use their car for the test and they will drop you off after the test. Our instructors are highly experienced and are the best co-driver for your road test.
Throughout the course, each student will learn how crashes happen and how to prevent them. For over 50 years, YD has been committed to helping every student become a responsible, competent driver that knows what to do when the real thing happens. We teach our students our exclusive system of 4 habits and 20 sub-habits.
A G1 is not required to begin and students are eligible to enrol 3 months before turning 16.
