The YD Course with G2 & G Road Test Packages - MTO Approved
This MTO-approved Beginner Driver Education course helps new drivers build the skills, confidence, and safe-driving habits needed to pass their road tests and drive safely for life. Using YD's exclusive Collisionfree! Approach, the program combines interactive classroom and online theory with practical in-vehicle instruction.
What's included:
In-Person Classroom Sessions - 20 hours
Certified instructors lead interactive lessons using videos and real-life scenarios to help students think like experienced drivers and avoid collisions before they happen.
Self-Paced Online eLearning - 10 hours
Complete additional theory modules online anytime, at your own pace.
In-Vehicle Training - 10 hours
Receive one-on-one lessons from provincially licensed instructors who are re-certified annually. Lessons are typically booked once per week in 60-minute sessions, giving students time to practice before their next lesson.
G2 Road Test Package
Includes a 45-minute preparation lesson, a 1.5-hour road test day session, a warm-up lesson on test day, use of the instructor's vehicle for the test, transportation to the test, and drop-off afterward. The first G2 road test fee ($53.75) is paid directly to MTO DriveTest when you receive your G1 licence and is not included in this package.
G Road Test Package
Includes a 45-minute prep lesson a few days before the test, plus a 1.5-hour test day session with a warm-up lesson and use of the instructor's vehicle. The package also includes the $91.25 MTO fee, paid when booking the G road test.
All classroom, online, and in-vehicle instruction is delivered by highly trained, provincially approved instructors who are re-certified each year.
Students learn how crashes happen and how to prevent them using YD's proven system of 4 habits and 20 sub-habits, developed through more than 50 years of driver training experience.

After registering online, you'll receive an email asking you to complete your profile. Use the link to enter your information, create a username and password, and set your security questions. Once complete, you'll receive a follow-up email with course details and next steps.
