The Guided YD Course Online + Road Test is a provincially approved Driver Education course aimed at helping new drivers learn the skills needed to pass their driver's test and stay safe on the roads for a lifetime. This 37.25-hour driving program featuring our Collisionfree! Approach is intuitive, with an interactive curriculum and private, 1:1, driving lessons.
This course consists of 5 components:
1. Online education modules (25 hours)2. Guided sessions with a live YD instructor
3. StreetSmart
4. Private In-vehicle lessons (10 hours)5. Road Test Package (2.25 hours)
This course is designed to help new drivers think like experienced drivers - aware of potential driving problems and the solutions that will help avoid collisions. This way of thinking is presented using animations, text, images and videos in a way that will build good driving habits. New drivers will be introduced to our exclusive approach to collision-free driving (developed over the past 50 years) specifically designed to help drivers avoid all types of collisions.
The private one-on-one in-vehicle lessons are provided by provincially approved, annually re-certified instructors
Throughout the course, each student will learn how crashes happen and how to prevent them. For over 50 years, YD has been committed to helping every student become a responsible, competent driver who knows what to do when the real thing happens. We teach our students our exclusive system of 4 habits and 20 sub-habits.
