The YD Course ONLINE + Both Road Tests
Our MTO approved, beginner driver education course is aimed at helping new drivers learn the skills needed to pass their driver's test and stay safe on the roads for a lifetime. This driving program featuring our Collisionfree! Approach is intuitive, with interactive theory and driving lessons.This program has six components:
1) Theory learning (minimum 30 hours)2) In-car lessons (10.5 hours)3) G2 road test prep (45 minutes)4) G2 road test day (2.25 hours)*
5) G prep (90 minutes)6) G road test day (2.25 hours)
The private one-on-one in-car lessons are provided by highly-trained, provincially approved and annually re-certified instructors. Pick-up and drop-off for in-car sessions is within Guelph City Limits only.
*DriveTest collects the fee for your first G2 Road Test ($53.75) when you get your G1 beginner's licence. So this fee is not included in our package. What is included in our G2 road test package is a review lesson the week before and a warm-up lesson on your test day to help prepare you for the test. Your instructor will take you for your test, you will use their car for the test and they will drop you off after the test. Our instructors are highly experienced and are the best co-driver for your road test.
Our G Road Test Package + Prep includes a 90-minute G-prep lesson a few days before the test to ensure our students are confident and prepared. The 2.25 hours on road test day include a warm-up lesson and use of the instructor's vehicle for the test. AND this package includes the $91.25 DriveTest G test fee.
Throughout the course, each student will learn how crashes happen and how to prevent them. For over 50 years, YD has been committed to helping every student become a responsible, competent driver that knows what to do when the real thing happens. We teach our students our exclusive system of 4 habits and 20 sub-habits.
A G1 is not required to begin and students are eligible to enrol 3 months before turning 16.
