This driving program featuring our Collisionfree! Approach is intuitive, with interactive theory and driving lessons.
This program has six components:
1) Theory learning (20 hours)2) In-car lessons (10.5 hours) - Take place in Chatham
3) eLearning (10 hours)4) G2 road test package (2.25 hours)* - Takes place in Chatham
5) G prep (45 minutes) - Takes place in Chatham
6) G road test package (2.25 hours) - Takes place in Chatham
The classroom theory and private one-on-one in-car lessons are provided by highly-trained, provincially approved and annually re-certified instructors. All in-car lessons and tests occur in Chatham, with pick-up and drop off in Chatham.
*DriveTest collects the fee for your first G2 Road Test ($53.75) when you get your G1 beginner's licence. So this fee is not included in our package. What is included in our G2 road test package is a warm-up lesson on your test day to help prepare you for the test. Your instructor will take you for your test, you will use their car for the test and they will drop you off after the test. Our instructors are highly experienced and are the best co-driver for your road test.
Our G Road Test Package + Prep includes a 45-minute G-prep lesson a few days before the test to ensure our students are confident and prepared. The 2.25 hours on road test day include a warm-up lesson and use of the instructor's vehicle for the test. AND this package includes the $91.25 DriveTest G test fee.
Throughout the course, each student will learn how crashes happen and how to prevent them. For over 50 years, YD has been committed to helping every student become a responsible, competent driver that knows what to do when the real thing happens. We teach our students our exclusive system of 4 habits and 20 sub-habits.
A G1 is not required to begin and students are eligible to enrol 3 months before turning 16.
