City Driving
Young Drivers offers a selection of in-vehicle lesson packages for drivers that are looking for help from a professional and (ICBC Approved) driving instructor. Don't have anyone to practise with? Let a Young Drivers instructor be your coach!Do you live outside a metro area and avoid trips into 'the City'? Does driving in traffic make you nervous? Have you had an 'incident' that scared you and you need to rebuild your confidence? This lesson package is for you!
Spend two lessons (each 90 minutes) with a YD instructor and review:
-where, when and how often to glance around your vehicle to know what is going on around you as you drive
-blind spots - when to check them and how to use vehicle technology safely
-how to position your vehicle in traffic so you always have an escape route... just in case!
-how to share the road with different road users
Your instructor will help you to develop observation and space management routines that you can practice on your own. Over time, these routines will become habit and you will enjoy years of safe driving.
NOTE: These lessons do need to be scheduled outside of peak traffic time for best educational value.
