Self paced online courseThe YD Course ONLINE is an MTO approved, beginner driver education course aimed at helping new drivers learn the skills needed to pass their driver's test and stay safe on the roads for a lifetime. This 40 hour driving program featuring our Collisionfree! Approach is intuitive, with interactive online theory that can be completed anytime, anywhere.
This program has two components:
1)Online learning (30 hours)
2)In-car lessons (10 hours)
The online course is designed to help you think like an experienced driver who is aware of every driving problem and solution needed to avoid each type of crash.
It has 113 modules = 30 hours.
I think we covered every conceivable driving topic. We even did a section on trailers.
It's a way of thinking that will become habitual over the course of this program. As you proceed you will smile as you realize why we put the right and wrong answers to the dozens of questions provided through animations, pictures and videos.
That said it's not an easy course but one worth concentrating on since it will probably save your life more than once during your driving career. A system developed over the past 50 years and specifically designed to keep you out of all collisions.
Getting more driving experience is the best way to improve your driving and that is what this online course will give you. The course will be presented to you by some of our most experienced instructors and staff. They are passionate about driver education and are excited to share their experience with you.
The 10 hours of private one-on-one in-car lessons are provided by provincially approved, annually re-certified instructors.
Throughout the course, each student will learn how crashes happen and how to prevent them. For over 50 years, YD has been committed to helping every student become a responsible, competent driver that knows what to do when the real thing happens. We teach our students our exclusive system of 4 habits and 20 sub-habits.
